1. What type of butter is best for buttercream frosting?

Unsalted butter is best for making buttercream frosting. By using unsalted butter, you control the salt content in the recipe.

2. What are the several types of eggless buttercream?

Buttercream is butter and a sweetener mixed. There are two types of eggless buttercream. The most used one is American buttercream which is made using butter, powdered sugar, salt and vanilla essence.
The other variation is the Russian buttercream which is made using butter, sweetened condensed milk and a flavouring

3. How to test if the baking powder and baking soda are still fresh?

To Know the freshness of baking powder, add 1 teaspoon of baking powder with 1/3 cup hot water. If it bubbles, it is still fresh. To test the freshness of baking soda, add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar into a small bowl and add 1 teaspoon of baking soda. If it fizzes immediately, it is still fresh.

4. How long can cream cakes be stored?

Cream cakes can be stored for up to 5 days in the refrigerator.

5. How do you store canned fruit?

Canned fruits, once opened, should never be stored in the same can as the can will rust. So, it is advised that canned fruits should be stored in small airtight containers for individual usages with the liquid or brine and put in the freezer.
